Letter to Myself 001: Practicing Mindfulness

As members of our community and mental health advocates, we wanted to create something that wasn’t just another newsletter lost in your junk folder, but instead something that brings real value to your day-to-day life. Letter to Myself is our new monthly newsletter made just for you. We’ve packed it full of articles, polls, tips and tricks (and so much more!) that even just being subscribed counts as an act of self care. Read through our first edition below and make sure to check back next month for Letter to Myself 002!

For our first edition of Letter to Myself, we talk about practicing mindfulness. Mindfulness in psychology is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. It can be very beneficial for relieving stress, lowering blood pressure, and alleviating physical mental health symptoms.
